Steno-Oxford course

In 2003, Steno Diabetes Center began collaborating with the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM). The partnership between the two leading diabetes centres is unique inasmuch as it combines the research and educational tradition of SDC with the expertise of OCDEM.

The five-day course is held in turn in England and Denmark; OCDEM hosted the first course in their new facilities in 2004. The course can accommodate 20 to 25 participants (young endocrinologists), who are selected by one of the Novo Nordisk concerns.

Leading experts from Steno Diabetes Center, OCDEM and other diabetes centres deliver information and head debates and discussions with the aim of disseminating knowledge and expertise to those involved in the area of diabetes treatment.
