Insulin pump treatment at Steno Diabetes Center

Insulin pump treatment started at SDC in 1980 in connection with research projects and has since then been used at SDC. In recent years the use of insulin pumps has increased, and there are currently 175 diabetes patients in insulin pump treatment at SDC (2007). Courses are held in connection with the attachment of the insulin pump, and teaching materials have been developed for these courses.

The insulin pump team
The insulin pump team consist of three diabetes nurses who have special knowledge of insulin pump treatment. They are Hanne-Charlotte Andersen, Jette Normann Christensen and Anne Sinding-Olsen. There is a dietician, Ann Roskjær, attached to the team, as well as a registrar, Minna Wittrup, and a consultant, Dr. Eva Hommel.
