Michael Graham

M.S., Ph.D.

Michael Graham is a senior most researcher and assistant professor at the Steno Diabetes Research center. He has been trained from one of the top medical institutes in America and has been working with the center since 2007.

Dr Michael Graham has developed numerous studies that are focused on the immune responses of the body during diabetes. These basic models have helped our other researchers to develop new cures and treatments for this disease.

Avinash Sharma

Ph.D.

Dr Avinash Sharma is also an assistant professor at our research center who has accomplished his PhD in Material Science and Engineering. He joined our Steno Diabetes center in 2009 and is still a reputed member of the organization.

The main focus of Dr Sharma's research is regarding clip platforms which are known to mimic high complexities of human organs. These platforms are essential for testing different things like drugs, therapies, and modeling diabetes states so that our research can be taken a step forward.

Richard Bayer

M.D.

Dr Richard Bayer who has achieved his MD is also a professor of medicine at the University of Virginia. His main focus is in the clinical cell transplant programs at the Steno Diabetes Research Center.

Dr Bayer is highly experienced in the field of islet isolation and transplantation which has been proven to decrease sugar levels in human body. He has also significantly contributed to almost all the researches conducted by our facility.
